The Todd Farmhouse was built in 1898 by John Todd as the main quarters for the 350 acre Todd Family Dairy and has always been a landmark on the Mendocino Coast.  As the home of John and his ancestors, this gracious California bungalow style structure is still today the quiet rock solid building it was designed to be.

Locals tell of working on the dairy when they were school children and how sea captains, blown into port by the fierce Pacific storms, would stay on and help around the grounds for room and board until able to leave in their lumber schooners for the San Francisco area.  Until the 1950’s, the Todd Dairy served the Mendocino Coast and beyond with milk and dairy products, as well as vegetables and livestock.

Since the 1970’s, the farmhouse has been home to many businesses, including a Bakery, Antique Shop and Bed and Breakfast.  Today, Judy, John Todd’s great-granddaughter (a 4th generation descendent), her Mom and her friends have searched not only the Mendocino Coast, but also Northern California, for antiques to fill the farmhouse and return it to the spender it once held in the early 1900’s.  The farmhouse now displays unique antiques, exquisite furnishings, vintage items, linens and quilts, collectables, art and gifts in its more than 10 rooms.
